Physics, from the first idea to exam level
Class 11 physics, explained from scratch with interactive visuals, worked examples and concept checks. Follow your syllabus below, or jump straight to the Solids and Fluids chapters for CUT-6.
Physics: 45 questions. Solids and Fluids together are 30 of them.
Where the 45 physics questions come from
From the CUT-6 syllabus clarification sheet. Solids and Fluids carry two-thirds of this CUT-6 physics paper.
Fluids is examined in schedule order "up to 9.6.5 Capillarity, determination of surface tension by capillary rise method". That is the whole chapter: pressure → Bernoulli → viscosity → surface tension → capillarity.
Both are the same chapter (Mechanical Properties of Fluids), split in two because it is long. The split follows your module tests:
- Fluids I covers pressure, Pascal, buoyancy, continuity, Bernoulli and Torricelli. That is Test-05.
- Fluids II covers viscosity, Stokes' law, surface tension, bubbles and capillarity. That is Test-06.

Mathematical Review & Physical World
Build the mathematical language used throughout physics: relationships, graphs, rates and accumulation.
Units and Measurements
Learn how to report a measurement, check an equation and propagate uncertainty.
Motion in a Straight Line
Separate position, displacement and distance; connect graphs with equations; then handle relative motion, gravity and changes of direction..
Vectors
Understand direction before using projectile, force or torque equations.
Motion in a Plane
Resolve two-dimensional motion into perpendicular directions, then connect projectiles, relative velocity and circular motion..
Laws of Motion · Part 1
Use free-body diagrams to connect forces with changes in momentum.
Volume 2 · Forces, Energy & Rotation
Laws of Motion · Part 2: Friction
Friction responds to the tendency to slip.
Work, Energy & Power
Use work to track energy changes, recognise conservative forces and analyse collisions.
System of Particles & Rotational Motion
Track the centre of mass, then distinguish translation from rotation.
Volume 3 · Gravity, Materials & Oscillations
Gravitation
Connect force, field and potential, then derive orbital motion and escape speed.
Mechanical Properties of Solids
Stress, strain, Hooke's law, the stress–strain curve, Young's, shear and bulk moduli, Poisson's ratio, elastic energy, combined wires, own weight, thermal stress and applications.
Fluids I: Pressure to Bernoulli
Pressure and depth, atmospheric and gauge pressure, Pascal's law, buoyancy, continuity, Bernoulli, Torricelli, venturimeter, dynamic lift, Magnus effect and accelerating containers.
Fluids II: Viscosity & Surface Tension
Viscosity, Stokes' law, terminal velocity, Reynolds number, surface tension and energy, angle of contact, drops and bubbles, capillary rise and its surface-tension experiment, plus viscous pipe flow.
Oscillations
Start with restoring forces and phase, then connect displacement, velocity and energy.
Volume 4 · Waves & Thermal Physics
Waves
Follow a disturbance travelling through a medium while its particles oscillate locally.
Thermal Properties of Matter
Separate temperature from heat, then explain expansion, calorimetry, phase changes and heat transfer.
Kinetic Theory of Gases
Connect random molecular motion to pressure and temperature.
Thermodynamics
Account for heat, work and internal energy with one consistent sign convention.

How to use tonight
All physics formulas →- Solids, 45 min. Read the chapter top to bottom and play with the wire lab and stress–strain curve. Then do the Solids practice set.
- Re-do your ✗ questions. Practice → ✗ marked. Read the "Exam trap" box under each one.
- Fluids I and II, sections you feel weak in. Use the section index; each section ends with questions from your own test.
- Formula sheet last. Revise has every formula, ratio shortcut and trap on one page.
